Who We Are
The Temple of the Way of Light
The Temple of the Way of Light is a pioneering healing center in the Peruvian Amazon that has facilitated safe ayahuasca healing retreats for thousands of guests from more than 30 countries since our foundation in March 2007. Offering a synthesis of ancient Shipibo healing traditions and modern and Eastern integrative practices, the Temple is proud to be known as the safest and one of the most respected and long-established plant-spirit shamanism centers in the Amazon Rainforest.
With a masters in social work from New York University, Camila is a somatic and psychedelic integration therapist who weaves Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, Compassionate Inquiry and EMDR into her work. Camila also draws on her diverse experiences learning from indigenous cultures around the world, including the Shipibo ayahuasca tradition. She has led immersive group journeys for BIPOC communities and is passionate about Latinx work, indigenous rights, decolonization, and helping her clients explore their authentic selves. Camila is excited to establish a connection between New York and Peru, her native country.
